At Wand, we want to build a tool that feels like an extension of the artist, not a replacement. Doing this well demands great attention to detail along with a deep understanding of what artists need. We’re looking for a talented illustrator to take on the role of creating content for Wand’s social media. The ideal candidate is a visual artist who can empathize with Wand's target audience and create content they know will resonate with artists & build excitement for what's to come.
This role might be a fit if you:
are a visual artist and see yourself as a target user for Wand
have experience with traditional creative apps (Photoshop, Procreate, Canva)
can empathize with how AI's disruptive potential presents both exciting new opportunities and serious problems for skilled artists
spend time exploring (previous and cutting edge) creative AI tools, techniques and research papers
understand where and how emergent tools, trends and styles in the creative AI space are posted and made popular
have an interest/background in some of the following:
Fine arts and art history
Concept art (fantasy, sci-fi, anime, manga, fashion, etc)
Gaming and world building
Responsibilities include:
Produce viral content that highlights Wand’s creative power, use cases, and pro-artist ethos
Remain aware of trending topics, styles and tools in the AI art ecosystem
Engage thoughtfully & empathetically with our audience
Distill feedback into actionable steps our team can take to improve user experience
Important skills / traits to have:
Organized, schedule driven and detail oriented (both in how you work and with the content you create)
Experienced illustrator who is well versed in digital art tools
An eye for what creates great viral content
A strong video editor who is able to produce a variety of styles/content tailored to Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube
